6 Sodas That I Love

Something that my husband has recently noticed now that we live together is the fact that I love a seasonal product. To give you an idea of how much I love a seasonal product, this blog post is inspired by the fact that one of my favorite seasonal finds at Aldi's has returned for the summer, and I am stocking up while I can.

You've probably already guessed that it is a soda product, but what kind of soda gets stocked on a seasonal basis? You will have to read about some of my favorite other sodas to find out, but don't worry: I didn't save it for the end. If you think about the fact that I don't love the feeling of carbonation in my mouth, the fact that I am recommending sodas must mean these must mean that the taste is worth it.

  1. Crush Peach Soda

I wasn't even aware that Crush had a peach soda until I was at a restaurant and it was one of their offerings. Mentally, I said, "Sure, I will try it," and it was the best thing that I ever took away from that restaurant. It doesn't taste overly peachy or artificial. The taste is refreshing, and the pink color is so cute for the summer.

The first time I had this soda, I finished it, but I wanted to remember it so badly that I took a photo of the empty bottle anyway.
  1. Milkis Korean Cream Soda

The Koreans have produced many things that I love, and this soda is definitely one of them. If I had to describe the flavor, I would say that it is a bubbly version of Yakult with a little extra kick. I am such a fan that when I saw the Sanrio themed cans, I asked my sister-in-law to try and repurpose them for me to keep.

While this photo depicts a case of Milkis Sanrio-themed cans, I actually haven't tried it yet because I am saving it for when my in-laws visit.
  1. Dr. Pepper

When my birthday rolled around this year, the treat that I gave myself was going to a gas station so that I could purchase and try two flavors of Dr. Pepper that I had not seen anywhere else before. A fun fact is that the soda was created by a pharmacist, so I like to tell people that the soda is chemically engineered perfection.

The photo shows the three bottles of soda that I got on my birthday, from right to left: Dr. Pepper Cherry, Crush Peach Soda, and Dr. Pepper Blackberry.
  1. Mountain Dew Baja Blast

While some people might look at Taco Bell and think that it is a crime to eat there, I would argue that it is a crime to go and not get a Baja Blast Freeze. Maybe it is because a slushy brings me back to childhood. Honestly, the business deal between Mountain Dew and Taco Bell is the perfect marriage, because it is such a unique flavor profile that it keeps me coming back. I have tried the canned stuff, and nothing beats the fresh from the machine Baja Blast.

  1. Aldi's Find: Sprecher Fire-Brewed Cream Soda

You've found it, my favorite seasonal flavor (but if you go to an old-fashioned soda shop, you might be able to find it year-round). When I saw Sprecher Fire Brewed Craft Cream Soda in the seasonal section of Aldi's, I knew that I had to try it. In my opinion, it is one of the best cream sodas I have ever had because either that fire or that honey gives it a little something extra unique that other cream sodas don't have. The new season of it starts now, and I am on my forth case this year.

The labels look different this year, but this bottle and this label is from when I tried it for the very first time.

Grandma Sau's Favorite: Sprite

Grandma Sau loves a classic. There is nothing like the lemon-lime flavor of a Sprite, and I believe my grandma thinks it is the best thing to cleanse her palette when we're out and about. If we are at a restaurant, Grandma Sau will typically order a Sprite if she wants soda.
